School Activities

We got to see our Dragons show their love for each other this Valentine. Our leadership class put up a very successful marriage booth, where our students married one another in a ceremony in front of a crowd.

Our students showed their love for Halloween by dressing up as some of their favorite characters. We had lots of fun watching all kinds o costumes and seeing how unique all our students looked. We had a costume contest to reward our favorite costumes of the day, and it was a great day!

To celebrate our boys Homecoming game, our Dragons held a Pep Rally out in the quad. It was great to have all academies out together having fun collaborating. Our dragons looked very happy and were pumped for the Boys Football Team.

On the third day of spirit week, our dragons showed school pride and wore their favorite jerseys to school.

Bernstein is very proud to announce that our very own dragons, Mark Reyes, Aundrez Gonzales, and Jan Abellana are now apart of the New Filmakers LA team.  This program gives students the opportunity to follow a career in filmaking. We are very excited to see what great projects our boys will come up with!

We were very pleased to see so many of our Dragons parents at Back to School Night. Our teachers got to talk to the parents of our students ad got to discuss their child's progress from the past five weeks of school. We are very excited for what the rest of this school year has [...]

Here at Helen Bernstein High School, we push our students to come to school each and every day ready for instruction. Today, our LAUSD workers, along other various volunteers, went out to knock on the door of selected students who been having chronic attendance issues over the past few weeks. Thursday afternoon, we had an extended lunch so that our Dragons could enjoy a wonderful performance by Gabe Kubanda and UFN. Our students had a great time and had fun hanging out with friend and listening to music throughout their lunch.
